I was admitted via the ER n 10/24 and still here. I’m diabetic with a bad UTI and dehydrated. IV. was put in place but when I got to the room the nurse said something was wrong with it and she took it out. Long story short, Today is Saturday and finally someone from the IV team came this morning and put in in a second. IV using a portable ultrasound. I am a hard stick so my arm is black and blue from being stuck. It has been very painful and I have cried and cried at the age of 76. My point… why does this huge hospital complex not have enough staff/equipment to take care of a situation like mine. I’m still waiting on my meds to be started through the IV. This is a medical administration problem not staff. Why did I have to wait three days to get an IV as well as the needed medication. This hospital should be ashamed while many think this is the best, it needs improvement in this aspect of patient care. Obviously there is a shortage of equipment as well as ultrasound equipment.

The staff are so caring, they go above and beyond to make sure that you happy, and every need is met. In my time of need it is well appreciated and should not go unnoticed. So a HUGE shout out to all the staff that has helped while I'm on thus journey.

I just spent 37 days in the hospital for 2 brain bleeds and I just came here to recognize some people. I don’t remember a whole lot from my stay, but I do remember pea, Sarah, Marisa and Caleb and Abby.

Sarah is the first nurse i remember when coming to after being out of it for I don’t know how long. She was so kind & comforting & made me feel “at home”
Pea is a BEAUTIFUL human all the way around. She’s inspiring, motivating & I felt like she genuinely cared about my wellbeing. She came and checked on me when I got moved from the icu to step down (and this happened more than once)

Caleb was my PT in the hospital and he advocated for me so hard and I appreciate him so much. He is so kind, patient, motivating & knowledgeable. I was going to get discharged home with a catheter & when I couldn’t sit up straight on my own. He didn’t let that happen. He made sure I stayed longer and got the care I needed. I was walking with a walker by the time I was finally discharged.

Abby was my OT & she made showering and cleaning myself a comfortable experience. She has a great personality & a kind soul & I loved working with her.
Marissa was my nurse in step down and she really humanized me. It was in her care that I felt like myself for the first time and stopped feeling like a patient. (She was very professional) but I was able to relate to her and laugh for the first time and she was the breath of fresh air that I needed.

I appreciate all of you so much and thank you for being apart of my care team and helping me get home. You’re all phenomenal at your jobs and i hope to see you again, just not as your patient ?

On 10/20/24 I went to the e.r. for severe leg pain and couldn't walk. I sat there for 10 hours in the waiting room and was never seen by a provider. I asked for something to eat and was given 3 packs of very stale Graham crackers. I was upset and wanted to leave so I asked for my iv to be taken out. A very rude nurse finally found a provider who spoke with me for 5 minutes. The rude nurse parked my wheel chair by the exit. When my husband pulled up, I got out of the chair and hobbled out to the car with No assistance from the staff at all. I wouldn't go there again for treatment if I were dying.

My elderly father was brought to the ER with altered mental status from a nursing facility. I am his POA as well as his daughter. We don’t live in the area. I called 9 times over a period of 8 hrs trying to get a status or ANY info. I was either cut off, put on hold for more than 20 minutes, told that no one was answering, or told I would receive a call back. Never happened. I had to find out from his facility that he was being admitted and his room number. I am a medical professional myself and have worked hospitals for decades. Never have I received such uncaring disregard as a family member and never have I given such “talk to the hand” service to my patients and their families even when the day was overloaded and busy. Unacceptable to say the least.

I had my son in 1991, my only child. My labor was a. Nightmare! I don't to this day know why my pain was so severe. I had everything they could give me for the pain- The epidurals seemed to make the pain worse. I had a burning pain! The contractions went on for 17 hrs , some contractions one on top of another! My Dr was determined I was gonna have my baby! I pd him for the delivery , I had no insurance so the Dr let me continue as I was . Suddenly he said we have to do a C-Section. I had a healthy 7 lb boy . My son's Father and his Mother stayed from10:30pm Friday night till maybe 6:30 Saturday night. I had him at 5:45. Everyone went home and I threw up most of the night from the pain med. I was so thirsty I drank water, if they had brought me gingerale, That would have stopped. Also, nausea medication! I couldn't give John a bottle due to vomiting. The nurses did nothing to help me with the bottles, or be a mother to John.

ER VISIT: unfortunately it’s not the doctors this review is about; but the security. My time here, and we were greeted at the door with an attitude and hostility. I came in barely being able to walk with my teen daughter - and the security officer was like “no visitors”. Not being to even stand straight I told them this was my 15 year old daughter. They proceeded to let me in.

I was given muscle relaxers and was told to make sure I had a ride. 2 hours later my husband showed up and he was met with the same rebuttal without any reason. He also witness them arguing with other guests.

If this is first thing people see. When they are reaching the ER, this will put a sour taste in anyone’s mouth. The ER is hard place to start with and I understand not everyone has the best intentions but don’t treat everyone as a criminal. These officers need training and compassion.

Although staff was great I would not be returning for any ER visits
