I went to see Madison for an annual exam and to establish care here. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions. Her bedside manner was excellent as well. She made sure I felt comfortable throughout all the exams. Madison really respects her patients and I will definitely be coming back here as I start trying for pregnancy.

Attended the Saturday clinic yesterday which was great. I was seen very quickly. The staff were super friendly - from the front desk to labs. Deon'sai was great and made everything go smoothly. Especially, as I was a bag of nerves and her calming presence really helped me. Melissa and the lovely nurse at labs were also very kind. Dr kumar is also great. Please keep the Saturday clinic going, it was so convenient.

5 stars for Dr. Blank, and 1 star for the OB team, hence the 3 star review.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Blank since 2019 for my regular checkups. He is very professional, caring, and very responsive to all my messages and concerns. I would go so far and say that he is one of the best doctors I’ve seen. I found out I was pregnant early this year and unfortunately he no longer delivers so I started seeing their OB team.

OB is where everything goes south. Aside from the long waits, it feels like most of the OB docs didn’t not wish to be there. I experienced bleeding at one point and messaged Dr. DeSelms who outright ignored me. Dr. Wilkinson O’Brien wasn’t particularly interested in her patient as well. That said, Dr. Nwankwo is great and caring. Nurse Rachel is the sweetest and my favorite.

I’ve now switched to a different practice (still CWC but diff location) and regret that I didn’t do so earlier. My new OB provided me with so much info that I did not receive from this practice which could have made my early pregnancy must easier.

This practice is regularly running late. Their automated systems has massive glitches - sending reminders for appointments they've canceled without confirming with the patient and asking for information you then have to re-enter upon arriving for your appointment. I've had multiple billing issues with them over the years. Terrible customer service.

I give 5 stars to Dr. Blank and Dr. Kumar for their professionalism, kindness, and empathy. However, the staff handling appointment calls deserves just 1 star. They are often rude and indifferent to patients, with extremely long wait times. When they finally respond, their lack of concern is evident, as if they just want us to move along. It's a mix of excellence and frustration all in one place.

Extremely unethical billing department screwed my credit score. All the sudden I am told that they sent my $20 bill to the collection, knowing that I had many visits after that service day and they never mentioned that. They claimed that they contacted me but they were sending mail to my old address knowing that I did ask them to update the address. I did visit them many times after that date of service and they never mentioned that. When I called, they said they send me message through the portal, but my portal has no messages on that regard. They said that the bill is for the service day of Feb 2024, but the only bill I have on the portal is from August. Big difference.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Picco since my daughter was born 23 years ago. She always takes the time to ask me how I’m doing, ask about my daughter and answer any questions I have. While I don’t look forward to the annual exam, I definitely look forward to seeing her. She really cares.

Overall one of the worst medical practices I have ever been a patient of . If I could give them a negative rating I would.

It is FULL of borderline malpractice (with my “doctor”) and general inconsideration for their patients.

In regards to the receptionists, they are beyond rude. No sense of care for the work they do and it seems like the owners of this practice do not care either due to the various complaints of the lack of quality of care within their receptionist team. They are either chatting amongst themselves, on their cell phones, or generally no where to be found.
The last time I went into the office was to have an IUD inserted. My appointment was at 11:45am and I was not taken to a room until almost 1:00pm (keep in mind I arrived 15 minutes early as advised). I was also never made aware, not by the receptionist when I checked in nor by my “doctor” when I would see here roaming the halls, that she had been backed up until 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, where I had to go up to the receptionist (who was chit chatting with her coworkers while I stood there) and ask about what was going on and in that moment I was told the “doctor” was backed up and was given a flimsy ETA after I had pushed for one.

Considering that I am a 19 year old who has never gotten a procedure like this one done before this added to my already heightened nerves about this appointment.

I firmly believe that my “doctor” (Dr. Picco) bordered the line of malpractice. I came in to this practice in order to receive a hormonal IUD as contraception. In my initial appointment/consultation I was told there was no problem, told me what IUD brand she was going to use since I had no idea what any of the other options were within the “hormonal IUD” sphere, and I was told I could schedule my appointment for the insertion as soon as I started my period. I did just that.

After the entire ordeal with waiting and inconsiderate receptionists I just wanted to get the procedure over with. Dr. Picco only interacted with me during the insertion and it made me feel like I was just a task for her to complete in as little time as possible. There was no prior vaginal ultrasound, measuring of the uterus, or any other typical standards of care prior to the IUD procedure. There was not even the ultrasound immediately after the insertion. I was told “not so bad right?” and to take OTC pain medication and she left. The entire procedure/interaction with Dr. Picco lasted 5-7 minutes. The receptionist scheduled me for over a month in advanced for the ultrasound which I inevitably could not make. I experienced excruciating pain for weeks and weeks. I had constant cramps while also feeling the strings of the device poking at me and being long enough to come out of me.

I decided that I would try to schedule a new ultrasound appointment and a string trim with Picco. I called a total of 6 times within the span of 5 hours, the lines were always “busy”. I requested an appointment online and was given no response for over 48 hours (funny enough Picco told me to call to schedule as if they even answer the phones). Within those 48 hours I decided to find a new and better practice where I was given an ultrasound, Pap, string trim, and was informed of the (in my opinion) bordering malpractice that Picco presented onto me.

Because she had not given me a prior ultrasound to the IUD insertion, she had missed the polyps on my ovaries which through further investigation led to my diagnosis of PCOS. Another factor that Picco plays a roll into is the fact that the IUD brand (kyleena) is typically not ideal for patients with PCOS (as there is not as much of the hormones within this type). The bothersome length of the device strings was also due to the fact that within kyleena the strings are thicker than other types.

Overall when it comes to Picco and the practice of “Capital Women’s Care” it is flooded with inconsideration and a lack of patient education. You should not work within women’s reproductive health care if you are unable to give the upmost care possible
