Llyn y Fan Fach ist ein beeindruckender, abgelegener See im Brecon Beacons Nationalpark, der für seine atemberaubende Landschaft und die legendäre walisische Sage der Lady of the Lake bekannt ist. Hier einige praktische Hinweise und Eindrücke für einen Besuch:

Wetter und Wind:

Achtung vor Wetterumschwüngen: Das Wetter in den Höhenlagen um Llyn y Fan Fach kann sich rasch ändern. Besucher sollten sich auf plötzlichen Regen, starken Wind und kühle Temperaturen vorbereiten.

Wind: Über dem See, besonders auf den Bergpfaden, kann es extrem windig sein. Es ist ratsam, winddichte Kleidung zu tragen und vorsichtig zu wandern.

Aussicht:

Atemberaubende Ausblicke: Trotz des unvorhersehbaren Wetters belohnt die Landschaft mit einem spektakulären Blick auf den See, die umliegenden Berge und das weite Tal. Besonders vom Gipfel des Bannau Sir Gaer und Fan Brycheiniog aus bietet sich eine fabelhafte Aussicht.

Wanderung:

Die Wanderung führt nicht nur um den See, sondern auch hinauf zu höheren Berggipfeln in der Umgebung, die die Wanderung zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis machen. Weitere Seen und Panoramaausblicke machen die Tour sehr abwechslungsreich und lohnenswert.

Dieser Ort ist eine 5-Sterne-Erfahrung für Naturliebhaber, die das wilde, rauhe Wales hautnah erleben möchten.

Easy, but a bit steep hike. Amazing views at the top of the ridge, from where you can also climb down to the other lake. Also depending on the weather it can be a nice for sunsets

What a beautiful place to explore. My partner and I came here for a lovely 9 mile walk, which took us around 5 hours. Unfortunately we chose to do this on a day where there was rain, hail and very strong wind on top of the mountain! This was August ?. Dispite the bad weather, we had a good walk. At the start of the walk, there were sheep about, so had to keep my dog on the lead, but for most of the walk, we didn't see any other animal.
Overall, it was a hard but good walk and I'd definitely recommend doing it.

Breathtaking views, stunning landscape
there is a parking ?️ aprox 2miles away from the lake. I went on a windy day, be cautious on the cliffs if it’s very windy.

Blueprints of Britain

This hike is a must-do! It's a brilliant and fairly moderate hike that offers stunning views and a unique experience. It's beautiful in any season, but it's important to check the weather forecast as the weather can change quickly when you're near the top. There's plenty of parking available, but we suggest arriving early in the morning or later in the afternoon as the car park can get quite busy. This hike is one of the best in the western part of Brecon Beacons.

Beautiful!
The road to from Cardiff the lake is difficult. (I’m happy with all kind of adventures, but there are miles of short lanes with deep tranches, easy to get stuck and damage car). Witnessed accidents, also got stuck.
Nature is beautiful as all Brecon Beacons. Quietness is miraculous.
Walking ~ 30 min one direction.
Road ~ 2 hours one direction.
