They do not answer phones during listed hours, nor return calls. After several consecutive work days of calling and leaving unreturned messages to simply try to get in touch with the office to schedule an appointment (each time with the answering service confirming they are open but not accepting calls), I am questioning the legitimacy of the medical practice.

Given that the front desk is perpetually unreachable and the scheduling operation run so poorly, I’m wondering how well they could possibly handle actual medical services?

How about setting and listing regular hours in which the front desk commits to answering calls — ya know, like a medical office?

Edit: After a week of calling and leaving messages with the answering service, they returned my call the following week from a line that came up as “Unknown Number,” and left a message asking me to call them back. They don’t even call back from the office number so patients (or would-be patients) know to answer the phone, SMH. I called back and got the answering service, again. Ridiculous.

If I could give Dr. Rhee zero stars, I would. I drive four hours round trip to be told that my pain, which presents exactly as nerve pain does, is not caused by my bulging disc that is pushing on my nerves. I have never in my life had a doctor told me that don’t know what’s causing my pain without also offering me next steps to figure out what is causing it. He told me to “keep doing what I’m doing” (after having told him how everything I’ve tried has not helped the pain at all) and after I pressed him further, told me to lose weight (after I told him I cannot do any form of exercise without pain). So, definitely don’t expect a doctor who will work to actually make you feel better, and definitely don’t go to him if you’re fat. I’m not sure why or how he practices medicine, but he’s surely not motivated by a desire to make people feel better.

I strongly believe that I wouldn't have been able to find relief for my severe back pain if I hadn't followed up on a referral from a medical professional to see Dr, Rhee for evaluation and treatment. Pain has been significantly less, and will continue to improve as time goes on. I'm grateful for his compassion and humanity and for his correct diagnoses and surgical acumen.

I met Dr. Levine in 2000. He has operated on me twice and twice on my wife. I found Dr. Levine to be very friendly and caring with great skills. Dr. Levine teamed up with Dr. Rhee to perform a 9 level spinal fusion. My life is very normal now. I replaced golfing with walking. Many friends have taken my recommendations for NCN and have been very happy with both their care and results.

Wondering if this is the practice for you? It is. I was incredibly impressed by everyone from the reception team to the providers. Dr. Levine was thorough, honest, and caring. He addressed all of my concerns and came up with a plan that really suits me and my situation. I feel hopeful for the first time since I was injured. Thank you so much - your excellence was noted.

Got a referral to see Dr Rhee. Called every day for a week. Talked to machines. Talked to a human once. The human must still be searching for my referral in her mountain of faxes. Move on, get referred to a different practice. Edit...got a return call right after posting. Coincidence? "We have been experiencing troubles with our lines." Sure. Problem is that good doctors won't even know how patients are being mishandled by back office staff. Enjoy Privia. 1 star bc zero was not an option.

Dr Rhee appears to be masquerading as a competent professional. He is not. His manner is condescending, abrupt, and defensive. He does not entertain questions or dialogue of any kind. He did not give me a diagnosis, speak with me regarding treatment options or the risks/benefits of them. He rudely told me to "stop reading about my illness," because I "couldn't Possibly begin to understand" He followed that comment with this: "Do you think you can learn particle physics in 30 minutes? I dont think so."
I am disgusted by this man's behavior and have serious concerns for anyone going to him seeking help. Go elsewhere, he isn't worth your time.

During my consult visit I felt the doctor had viewed my images and had a good grasp of what I was dealing with. I had planned on a 2nd consult but have decided not to do that and go with the plans discussed with Dr. Levine.
