In der Dunkelheit sahen wir nicht den großen Parkplatz und erwarteten ein kleines Pub.||Unsere Überraschung war sehr groß, als wir das Lokal betraten. Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten ( was sonst notwendig ist ) wurden wir freundlich begrüßt und mit unseren drei hungrigen Kindern aufgenommen, obwohl der Tisch in einer Stunde reserviert war! Das Service war unheimlich flott und freundlich, das Essen ausgezeichnet. Wir waren so zufrieden, daß wir sofort für den nächsten Abend einen Tisch reservierten. Da konnten wir dann in Ruhe die gedigene und gemütliche Atmosphäre genießen. Super Lokal!!!

We visited for dinner. Very nice restaurant, nicely laid out and friendly attentive staff. Very accommodating to individual needs which is a big plus. Food was good to OK, the duck was very nice but the lamb whilst cooked well wasn't the best quality. Deserts were good and drinks were very good. A good option for an evening meal if in the area.

A beautiful pub with lots of lovely community events happening. Can't rate the rooms as we popped in for some food from the Mexican food truck that was there last night but we had a really warm welcome from the staff at the pub and the food was delicious. Wish we lived closer!

All agreed it was the best Sunday lunch. Ten out of ten. Presentation and quality of food was

impeccable. Service was excellent, professional and friendly. Thrilled to find chefs that clearly delight in producing meals to such a high standard. Looking forward to visiting again.

Nice place and lovely food but dinner service left a bit to be desired. We had high hopes for this place after reading all the reviews. It started off really well as check in was great. Unfortunately, at dinner we were waiting ages to be asked if we'd like drinks and eventually asked. The staff seemed to be more interested in cleaning tables, it's only a small restaurant so it was easy to see that we hadn't got drinks. We had to ask twice for drinks and then after asking, the staff wanted to take our order for food when we had specifically said we'd like our drinks first. It was just a case of the person not listening. Our meals came without our sides so again we had to ask and our meals were getting cold. A real shame.|Breakfast was excellent however, beautiful food and very sharp service. We were listened to by the manager that morning who tried to compensate for our service the night before. This was appreciated but we'd have rather had a stress free meal. It's worth saying, book a room on the back of the hotel if you don't want to hear the busy road.

We have not stayed at the Felin Fach Griffin for too many years, probably pre-Covid. Reassuringly, it has retained those alluring qualities that have always made our experience of eating and sleeping there to be extremely enjoyable, calming even. The Felin Fach does not have many of those must-have items beloved of the five-starred. In truth, room 5 is just a touch small. But the bed is large and comfortable and the view is across fields to the hills. And yes, perhaps it would be good to have a walk-in shower, given our growing decrepitude. But the water was hot - not always the case in the history of the Felin Fach, and there were thick towels. Forget TV. There is a Roberts radio but probably not the one given as a gift to my brother in 1963. The ground floor has the qualities of a well-loved pub with the tables often taken to increase the places available for those who arrive to eat. The food was and is excellent, knowledgeably served - well-prepared fish, tasty desserts, interesting cheeses. We understood there to be a new chef; she was very good news. But all that apart, perhaps it is the welcome and courtesy and knowledge of the staff that made the Felin Fach as attractive as it always was.

Went here as a treat and what a treat. The food was superb and I certainly felt I was eating in a Michelin starred restaurant. Had short beef rib starter followed by the most perfectly cooked Hake. I finished with a stunning blackberry Mille fuelle. I really don’t understand the negative reviews and yes it’s not cheap but it’s not pub grub. It’s fine dining in a Welsh cottage atmosphere. All the staff were very helpful.

Celebrated our daughter’s 18th with a family lunch at Felin Fach Griffin. A great experience from booking by phone to the moment we left. Felt very welcome in lovely traditional surroundings. The food was all delicious - from starters to desserts - the service impeccable and they were so kind to surprise my daughter with a happy birthday brownie and glass of champagne on the house!! Thank you guys!! We’ll be back.
